Volunteer Now
The Citizen Science Learning Center is a non-profit which aims to promote community stewardship of Long Island’s freshwater resources. We achieve this goal through a combination of citizen science initiatives, public outreach campaigns, and environmental education programs and workshops.
These endeavors are not possible without the generous support of dedicated volunteers. If you are interested in helping CLSC continue its mission, please sign up for any of the volunteer opportunities available in the form.

With your assistance, the Citizen Science Learning Center will be able to provide education programs for adults and children that will learn how to become stewards of our environmental resources, with a focus on the water quality of our waterways. We have an ongoing project called “Adopt-a-Pond” where we have been characterizing the water quality of seven freshwater ponds on the western side of the Town of Southampton, and monitoring for the presence of harmful cyanobacteria blooms (cyanoHABs). We also provide “community service credits” for student volunteers.
Members will receive a “thank you” letter documenting your membership, our newsletter highlighting our upcoming events and programs, and a decal at your request. Your membership is valid for a period of one year.
