Libraries Love Lakes

 

The Libraries Love Lakes outreach project was started in April 2019 following a meeting of the Global Lake Ecological Observation Network (GLEON) by a group of members from northeastern North America.  These members wanted to “put lakes on everyone’s radar”.  The Citizen Science Learning Center seeks to further this cause and extend it to ponds as well as lakes. We seek to do this by having staff members make presentations at local libraries, thus taking advantage of the resources and accessibility of local libraries to bring our message to a wider audience.
