Laurel Lake "Pond Keepers" Event 2

CSLC will meet again with the students and teachers from the Peconic Community School. This will be the second event of an educational program developed by the educators and scientists at CSLC to bring a hands-on experience to the students using Laurel Lake (the Lake) as an outdoor classroom. They will be making observations regrading the water quality (temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Total Dissolved Solids, and Specific Conductance) and the organisms that inhabit the Lake and its environs.

They will use a mobile app called Survey123 that was developed by CSLC to document their observations and which will become part of the Geographic Information System (GIS) the school uses for this purpose.
