Adopt-A-Pond Waterbody Observations and Sampling

CSLC is looking for volunteers to help us grow our “Adopt-a-Pond” program.  During the summer months, we are looking for “Pond Keepers” to participate in making observations at any or all of the freshwater ponds we are currently monitoring. We ask that you visit the site, record your findings using our mobile app that will record your location using GPS as well as provide photo documentation for the location.

We also do more intensive bi-weekly field sampling that aims to quantify the quality of the freshwater ponds. These investigations incorporate field instruments to collect on site parameters like temperature, pH, and total dissolved solids as well as the processing of water samples for future laboratory analysis.
